I was catching up on my E! News gossip this week and happened across this pic of Kate Hudson. I absolutely fell in love. First of all, she makes anything she wears look good, but this dress?! It is the ultimate illustration of classy and chic. Gosh, Kate, would you share your tips on how to always be fab?
Speaking of fab… I swoon over all of the pieces in this formal sitting space. Aren’t they stunning? This idea space makes me want to get dressed up but have nowhere to go. Ha! Isn’t that how the saying goes? Only, in this case, the having nowhere to go wouldn’t be a bad thing.
Hope you all have a wonderful rest of your weekend!
Well, I just had the pleasure of helping an SMP styling client redesign her office. When I initially learned about the opportunity, I was beyond thrilled! I could just picture it; a gorgeous desk adorned with a vase full of fresh flowers…. the perfect chair, a fab lamp, and tons of great organizational accessories…. I mean, it practically made my heart skip a beat.
Then the challenge revealed itself. I was actually helping design a professional office. Now, I love a good challenge, but there’s a huge difference between a home office, and a professional office. Or so I thought…
After talking with my client, her vision was for it to feel more feminine and fun – not a typical office, which often tends to feel masculine, stuffy, and boring. So, I ran with this vision! I thought, why not pull some of the same things you might have in a home office, into a professional environment? After all, it is the space where she spends the majority of her day, so it should look and feel like home!
I really love the options I presented to my HCH client, below, and of course, the best part was that so did she! Can you guess which one of the four options she chose? Vote in the poll below!
This challenge proved to me that you shouldn’t limit yourself by thinking that you can’t, or shouldn’t step outside the box. Just like in fashion, break the rules, do it your way, and have fun with it! It’s your workspace, so make it fabulously You!
