Oh, Hollywood…sigh. So many glam events, so little time. Awards season is upon us, and while the SAG awards aren’t as exciting as the Golden Globes, it’s still fun to see everyone dressed and walking the carpet. I have to say, there were more “worst dressed” picks than “best dressed” for me this time around. I wasn’t as “wowed”. But, here goes..
Best Dressed: Amy Adams in Antonio Berardi
Hands down, my favorite dress of the evening was Amy Adam’s deep blue Antonio Berardi gown. She looked so gorgeous!! The amazing neckline, the metallic belt…I could go on and on. I loved her orangy-red lip color and simple, drop earrings. Bravo, Amy! A+
Tie for Best Dressed: Michelle Dockery in J. Mendel
Michelle Dockery seriously stunned in this J. Mendel gown. She looks SO classy! This is how to do a plunging neck line, ladies. I love her pop of red lip color and simple accessories. Annnnnd, can we talk about her two-toned Gianvito Rossi heels? I adore them. And want them. I kiiiiind of wish she would have gone with a little pop of color with her shoes, but I don’t hate it. Bravo!!
And, now for worsted dressed. It was hard to pick just two…
Worst Dressed: Juliette Lewis
Wow. This dress is just all wrong. Silk? The floral print? This print seriously looks like something one would wear on vacay at the beach. Not to mention it’s ill fitting. I’m just not a fan at all. It looks cheap to me. Harsh much? I know. But, I am pretty passionate about bad floral prints.
Runner up for worst dressed: Edie Falco
Oh, Edie. No. Just, no. This print is not working for me AT ALL. Neither is the hemline. It’s waaaay too casual for my taste- especially to walk a carpet. And, the shoes with the dress? I see what she was trying to do here. Add a little edge to that butterfly print, but it isn’t working. I give you an F minus, Edie.
